LET'S GO!

John 14:31
This is one of the last encouragements that Jesus gives to his disciples before he is arrested.   
It is about moving ahead. 
What are they going to encounter in the future?  Jesus knew that they did not have much more time to spend together. Therefore he wanted to encourage them, pray and share with them.   He knew that He was going to experience Golgotha where He would be all alone, without the boldness of Peter, without the caring character of John, because they would all run away from Him!  But Jesus did not stop his calling even though he knew he would be alone. Why? Because He knew of the Resurrection, there is Heaven, there is the glory to experience and share. 
What is ahead of us is therefore surely better that what we are experiencing. Is it not true that our present afflictions are nothing to compare to the Glory of God waiting for us? Therefore continue! 
How are we going to know what we are made of, if we do not persist? 
How are we going to show the world we love the Father and act according to His word if we do not persist? 
How are we going to know if we are mighty men of worth, like Gideon, if we do not persist? 
How are we going to see His Hand if we do not persevere? 
To rebuild Jerusalem, if we do not try? 
How do we know what we are made of, if we simply refuse to try? 
Let us set off, for the Risen Lord is ahead of us, waiting to lead us, he is walking on the water to hold our hand, where our faith is lacking, in the boat to catch more fish... Do not run away or fear to try. He can see you and cares for you.  Hold His Hand, and go with Him, for He knows far better. 
Are you ready to persevere and try, even if it means failing and getting up again and trying?  God’s calling has not changed. 
All you have to do - is what He asked His disciples to do: “Stand up”.  Now, let us go, conquer the world with Him, to make all nations His disciples, to edify the Church.
